Urhobo Progress Union Europe
One union. Urhobo people in many European countries. How to find your place in UPUE from where you live.
UPUE is not a national club. It is the European body of Urhobo Progress Union: a way for members in different countries to share one culture, one welfare net and one voice. If you live in Europe, you do not need a separate “Ireland site” or “UK site” to belong — you register here, then stay close to whatever local gathering exists near you.
The notes below are a map, not a census. They describe where Urhobo families commonly live and work, and how UPUE expects to serve them. Local meeting points change. Write to the officers if you want to be put in touch with members in your country.

Many families who first organised locally now sit inside the European union. Meetings, welfare and the house-fund tradition continue — as one chapter of UPUE, not a separate organisation.
Students, nurses and professionals across several Länder. UPUE is the contact for culture, bereavement support and introductions when a member arrives new to the country.
Paris and other centres hold Urhobo households who want the language kept for children. Enrolment in the school and notices of gatherings run through this union.
A compact, active community. UPUE gives a European roof so Dutch-based members are not isolated from the wider Urhobo calendar.
Work and family settlement in the north and beyond. The union is the first call for culture, documents of belonging, and help in difficulty.
Growing numbers in Madrid, Barcelona and the coasts. Register with UPUE so notices, school and welfare reach you in Spanish time zones as well as English.
Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland and others: smaller numbers, same membership. One form, one set of officers, one European home.
To be listed as a country contact, or to start a regular meeting where you live, write through the contact page. Membership is continental; gatherings are local.
